PLANT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM

 

            Front Range Arborists Inc. staff includes a degreed horticulturist and licensed arborist who designed the Plant Health Care Program to assist large properties in the control of their pest problems. It helps prevent the infestation of insects and diseases on your valuable trees and shrubs. We will control all normally seen insect and disease problems. We will also inspect plants throughout the season to prevent infestation of any other harmful pest.

     A walkthrough of your property was performed by one of our certified arborist and this Plant Health Care program was based on his findings. Services and approximate dates are as follows:

 

March/April-                  

1st Beetle (Ips & Mtn Pine)Spray, Spray Aspen for Oyster Shell Scale and Ink Spot control.  Spray Spruce trees for weevil control.  Visually inspect all plant material.

 

Late April-    

Spray Spruce for weevil control and Crabapples for Fireblight Control

 

May

Inspect all plant material, Spray First Foliar Insecticide for Aphid/Caterpillar Control as needed. 

  

June/July

2nd Beetle (Ips & Mtn Pine) Spray,  Spray 2nd Foliar Insecticide for Green Ash and Apens for aphids as needed. Spray locust for plant bug. Spray aphids and caterpillar as neded. (Written Report)

 

August/September     

Late Season Aphid spray on all deciduous trees and Antidesiccant Application on all newly planted or exposed Pines

 

November

Final Inspection and winter watering (if purchased)

 

December    

Written Reports

 

 

            This program will take care of all commonly encountered insect problems in our area.  We have found our method of PHC to be invaluable in preserving our customer’s trees and shrubs.

 

            Written reports will include pests that we encountered as well as the overall health of the plant material. It will also include suggestions for any additional procedures that we feel are necessary to maintain optimal plant health.
